Sleeve for Wire Protection - AWG sized

AWG size sleeve is used to protect wires and small wiring bundles and cables.

Avaiable in E-glass and S-glass.

Available as plain sleeves, heat treated sleeves, saturated sleeves (acrylic saturant - available in colors), and coated sleeves with coatings of silicone rubber, viton and acrylic.

1200°F / 648°C Continuous Exposure: Higher Intermittent

This high temperature and heat resistant fiberglass sleeve is a braided fiberglass (fibreglass / glassfibre) sleeve, fabricated from high quality type E Type or S Type fiberglass that will not burn and will withstand continuous exposure to temperatures of 1200°F / 648°C. It provides excellent protection for wires.

This high temperature sleeve / heat resistant sleeve resists most acids and alkalis and is unaffected by most bleaches and solvents.  It is highly flexible and conformable.  The base fiber is manufactured to the specifications of ASTM D-578, ASTM committee D13, and subcommittee D13.18.  100% Asbestos free.

FlameShieldä Viton® 231 coated fiberglass sleeve is designed as a primary insulation sleeve for protecting small diameter wire, cable, lines, hose, and pipe from high temperature, flame and environmental contamination.  Recognized by UL / CSA for 220°C, 7000V service, and complies with VW-1 flammability requirements.  Conforms to, and is listed on the QPL for MIL-I-3190/9.  Available in 3 grades: NEMA Grade A-1, B-1 and C-1.

Extremely flexible and easily installed.  Used in electrical apparatus as a primary or secondary wiring insulation.  Suitable for use in silicone free requirement environments.  Resistance to solvents, both aromatic and aliphatic; fuels, including JP-5; and oils, including Skydrol.

The inner braid is very fine and dense, and along with the precision Viton® 231 coating, this is the toughest cut and abrasion resistant flexible sleeve we have available for wire, cable and hose protection.

Also provides protection from ozone, UV and abrasion. This product is UL/CSA approved and used on a wide variety of equipment such as fixtures, appliances and motors for wiring protection.

This sleeve is available only in white, black and natural (dark tan).  This sleeve is only available in full spool lengths shown in the catalog.

FlameShieldä thin-wall high temperature, heat, flame and fire resistant firesleeve is the perfect choice for protecting small diameter wires and cables from exposure to high temperature and environmental conditions.  The thin-wall fiberglass substrate and smooth silicone rubber on this firesleeve sheds light molten metal splash, slag, welding splatter, electrical or grinding sparks, solder drips and contamination.  Also provides protection from ozone, UV and light abrasion. This product is UL/CSA approved and used on a wide variety of equipment such as fixtures, appliances and motors for wiring protection.

This sleeve is available only in oxide-red and black.  Supplied in spool lengths; some sizes may be available in by-the-foot lengths - please contact our order desk to enquire.
