Fiberglass Tadpole Gasket with Rope Core or Stainless Steel / Inconel Metal Mesh Bulb Core

These high temperature, heat & flame resistant and thermal insulating fiberglass tadpole tapes are fabricated with high quality type E fiberglass that will not burn and will withstand continuous exposure to temperatures of 1200°F / 648°C.
The tail of the tadpole is usually fastened by using metal fasteners, or by using a grab strip to hold the tail in place by compression. Tadpoles are often used on boilers, ovens, and furnaces where they provide a seal by the door or access panel resting on the bulb. Also used on butterfly valves to provide sealing.
This material resists most acids and alkalis and is unaffected by most bleaches and solvents. It is highly flexible and conformable.
The base fiber is manufactured to the specifications of ASTM D-578, ASTM committee D13, and subcommittee D13.18.
This tadpole features either a fiberglass rope core bulb or a stainless steel / inconel metal mesh bulb core. The metal mesh bulbs have better puchback and less compression set than the rope bulb.
- Tadpole Tape Available Widths (Over-All Width): 1, 1 1/4, 1 1/2, 1 3/4, 2, 2 1/2 and 3".
- Tadpole Tape Bulb Diameters: 3/8, 1/2, 5/8, 3/4 and 1".
- Tadpole Tape Standard lengths: 50 and 100 feet. Also available in any custom length.
